Watercolor Shamrocks

Since I was out of time, I needed another set of cards that were quick and easy.  I took a sheet of watercolor paper and a set of Stampin Up Watercolor Wonder crayons.  After the page dried, I stamped all over it using Distress Ink peeled paint and studio g stamps.  I punched three hearts to make the Shamrocks and used a sticker from Stampendous to add some bling.  For the stem of the Shamrock, I just cut a piece of the paper by hand.  I like dimension on my cards, so I used foam tape under the Shamrocks.  Now, all my cards are done and hopefully arrive on time!

St. Patrick's Day card

As usual, I'm running late getting my cards out.  I needed to make St. Patty's Day cards in a hurry so I can mail them this morning and hope they get to their destinations on time.  This was so easy, I quickly made five of these cards.  I used antique linen distress ink on a block stamp for the background and used a studio g shamrock stamp with peeled paint distress ink.  I then put a gold sticker from Stampendous in the middle . . . done!

Birthday tree

This picture doesn't do this card justice.  I'll try to upload a better picture later.  My Dad is turning 80 this week and this is the card I made for him.  It s was made on glossy paper.  I used a Magenta tree stamp.  I love trees and leaves and this is one of my favorite tree/leaf stamp.  After I stamped the tree, I took a white crayon and highlighted some of the leaves and branches.  Then, I took several Distress Ink pads:  gathered twigs, festive berries, ripe persimmon, peeled paint and spiced marmalade with a dauber and dabbed some of the ink on and around the tree.  After it dried a little, I wiped the wax from the crayon off with a tissue and kind of buffed the whole image.  This makes the whole card pop.  I used a Printworks collection stamp for the word Dad and used the same technique.

Watercolor Crayons

This is one of my favorite watercolor crayon cards.  I made it using Lyra watercolor crayons and watercolor paper, then cut out the hearts from the paper.

Watercolor Crayons

Love, love, love watercolor crayons!  So easy to work with and you can quickly create a background to  make really quick and simple cards!  These two cards were made with Lyra watercolor crayons.

New technique for me

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I've never used Gesso before and I love the way it came out.  Stamp sets were "Make it count" from Close to my Heart, "The Journey" from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous and Distress Inks from Ranger.  I also embossed the words on the side of the card.

What's brewing?

I like coffee . .  . I don't care for tea.  Tea reminds me of being sick.  When I was younger and any of us weren't feeling well, my Mom would make tea and toast.  The smell of tea brings back memories of lying on the couch and Mom bringing over a cup of tea.  So, when I needed to make a get well card, I used a stamp set from Rubbernecker Stamps that has tea pots and tea bags.  For ink, I used Ranger Distress Inks.

Sisters

Even though this card doesn't have anything stamped on it, I wanted to post it.  I love this picture of my sister and me which was taken a few years ago, lol.   I used gathered twigs Distress Ink around the edges of the printed picture and frame.

Valentine card

I made this card using a stamp from studio g and one from craft smart (love those $1.00 stamps!).  The corners were made with and EKSuccess punch.  I embossed the "U Rock" stamp with black embossing powder.

Valentine Tags

Getting ready for Valentine's Day, I made some cards and tags.  Here are two  tags that I cut out with Tim Holtz Magnetic Dies and then stamped with some studio g stamps.  I took some markers and drew on on a craft sheet.  I then  used a mini mister to spray some water on the sheet.  Before it dried, I took a tag and patted it in the droplets for the first tag and then dragged the tag through the ink for the second one.  After they both were dry, I stamped them using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I also added a glittery heart sticker from makingmemories.

Sprocket Gears

Walking down an aisle in a craft store, I noticed a package of Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears.  I also had an embossing folder at home with the gears on it and knew they just needed to be put on a card together.

Stampers Anonymous Skeleton

As soon as I saw this stamp at a show this past Fall, I knew I had to have it. I love Halloween and this stamp was begging to come home with me.
